Living on Campus and the Community Living Standards

The departments of Residence Life in Anchorage and Valdez have established specific standards and policies for students living in on-campus housing.  These rules are in place for the safety of our residential communities and to preserve the comfortable and inclusive living and learning environment we all play a role in creating.  For example, rules about noise are in place to prevent students from being disrupted from studying.  Other rules are in place to protect the members of our communities and our facilities, such as policies prohibiting fire hazards, certain weapons and vandalism.  Rules prohibiting intimidating or hostile forms of expression and expectations for hosting guests in our buildings are in place to protect the quality of the residential experience.  It is the responsibility of each resident to read, comprehend and abide by these rules to ensure they are positive influences on the communities we seek to build.  Rules for living on each residential campus may be found here:
