BIOM A418 Human Gross Anatomy 4 Credits

Examines basic structure and terminology associated with the human body through a regional approach. Includes laboratory components with demonstrations on prosected human donors.

BIOM A425 Preparing for the MCAT and Beyond 3 Credits

Introduces students to evidence-based learning practices such as spaced retrieval practice, spaced repetition, interleaving, elaboration, dual-coding, and concrete examples in the context of preparation for the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test), a national standardized exam frequently used in the medical school admissions process to gauge the applicant’s readiness for medical school. The course fee includes a 90-day subscription to the UWorld MCAT question bank.
Special Note: May be completed once for credit. Students are expected to have completed or be concurrently enrolled in the following MCAT-relevant science courses: Cell Biology, Genetics, Physics, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry.

BIOM A432 Preparing a Medical School Application 2 Credits

Focuses on the organization and strategy of presenting oneself throughout all components of the medical school application process. This course will build and refine students' reflective writing and communication skills within the construct of the medical school application.

BIOM A490 Selected Lecture Topics in Biomedicine 1-3 Credits

Presents detailed coverage of a selected lecture topic in biomedicine.
Special Note: May be repeated for a maximum of 9 credits with change of subtitle.

BIOM A618 Clinical Anatomy 4.5 Credits

Provides an overview of clinical human gross anatomy and integrates knowledge of anatomy and health conditions. Emphasizes critical relationships and clinical significance. Facilitates an understanding of how anatomy aids in effective clinical interventions.
Registration Restrictions: Graduate standing and admission to Creighton Occupational Therapy degree program or instructor approval

BIOM A692 Graduate Seminar 1 Credit

Subjects of relevance covered in biomedical research or molecular medicine through the discussion of primary literature selected from top and medium tier journals, and/or attendance at selected professional seminar series offered in the local hospitals.
Special Note: May be repeated for a maximum of 4 credits.
