Minor in Occupational Safety and Health

The Minor in Occupational Safety and Health prepares students to fulfill those regulatory and legal supervisory responsibilities to implement safety and incident prevention programs and activities necessary to protect people, operational processes, and the environment across the spectrum of industries and work functions.

Students majoring in another discipline who wish to minor in occupational safety and health must complete the following requirements with a minimum grade of C:

OSH A101Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health3
OSH A108Industrial Safety3
OSH A201Hazard Control: Inspections, Audits and Investigations3
Complete a minimum of 9 additional credits from OSH courses, to include 6 upper division credits9

A minimum of 18 credits is required for the minor, of which 6 credits must be upper-division.
