Through a partnership between University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) and the Idaho State University (ISU) College of Pharmacy, students may earn their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in Alaska. During the first three years of the program, Alaska's Doctor of Pharmacy students follow the traditional model of scheduled classes on UAA campus, with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology used to deliver live instruction across three delivery sites: Pocatello and Meridian, Idaho, and Anchorage, Alaska. The fourth year of the program consists of seven six-week blocks of clinical clerkship experiences called Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE). The entire four-year program, including clerkships, is completed in Alaska.
