The Occupational Endorsement Certificate in Real Estate Management and Investment prepares students for careers in Alaska's real estate industry by building practical skills in property management and investment analysis related to residential and commercial properties.
Licensure and/or Certification
Students that complete BA A306 and meet State of Alaska requirements are eligible to test to become a real estate licensee under Alaska Statute 08.88.171.
BA A215 , BA A225 and BA A303 are all approved by AREC as Elective Continuing Education (ECE) offerings for licenses.

- Complete the following major requirements:

A minimum of 15 credits is required for the certificate.
Students graduating with an Occupational Endorsement Certificate in Real Estate Management and Investment will be able to:
- Analyze market trends and economic indicators to evaluate real estate investment opportunities and risks.
- Apply foundational accounting and financial principles to assess property performance and prepare operating budgets.
- Demonstrate proficiency in property management practices, including leasing, tenant relations, and regulatory compliance.
- Use industry-standard computer applications to analyze information and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including property owners, tenants, and investors.
- Fulfill the State of Alaska’s 40-hour pre-license education requirement to test for a Real Estate Salesperson’s license.
